I originally felt kind of guilty making another post about retro gaming, then I realized how absurd it would be to feel like we always have to look to the current generation or (finally) next gen titles. I play older games all the time and I don't think I'm alone. To draw a comparison to other forms of entertainment; would you look at someone funny if the told you they were reading Catcher in the Rye or watching The Godfather? Of course not. So why are we compelled to constantly focus on the future of gaming and not take a more 360 degree view of the art?
That's my rationalization anyway. I also wanted to screw around with my video editor and am waiting for my SD 360 cables to get here (two Xboxes, no component cables...) so I was limited to what I could record. Anyway, here's Platoon for the NES, based on the classic Oliver Stone film:
