Hatred Review (PC)

Competent twin stick shooter smothered in grindcore.  Quite challenging and rewarding once you get the hang of the somewhat wonky controls; if you miss an execution you end up switching weapons which can suck really badly.  The driving is... not good.  Prepare to Austin Powers yourself a few times.

If you can swallow a few failures due to no real fault of your own and come to grips with how the game wants you to play (you're not an action hero.  Run away.) figuring out the optimal path to objectives and brute forcing your way to "victory" is NES hard, but for the most part NES good.

If the metal aesthetic, humor, and absurdity strike a chord  you'll have no regrets buying this game.  If not, you may still enjoy the challenge and reward.  If you're offended by the content you have no one to blame but yourself; Hatred wears it's aspirations on it's sleeve and you probably shouldn't buy AO rated games.

Fuck yes.
