Friday the 13th: The Game

I fucking hate Kickstarters with a passion, but I'm breaking down and supporting this one.  Friday the 13th: The Game has been in production for quite some time now, previously known as Summer Camp: Vol. 1.  It was originally going to be a multiplayer only love letter to '80s slashers films, with one player controlling the killer, hunting down the other players who fill the role of counselors.  The developers recently got the go ahead to use the Friday license and are asking for support to make the game as true to the franchise as possible and cover some of the cost of this new ambition.  I was looking forward to Summer Camp as it was, but now I'm super fucking excited.  It looks like the initial goal of $700,000 is going to be reached, but there are a mulitude of stretch goals on offer.  If you're as big of a Jason fan as I am and see how potenially badass this could be, please consider pitching in.

To note: while I am certainly personally backing the project I have no ties to the developers and am just posting the above video because it's awesome, not as any kind of paid advertisement.

UPDATE:  This game has been funded!  Over 12,000 backers contributed over $800,000 to help the game get on the right track.  It's scheduled to be released October of 2016.  Thanks to anyone who pitched in, and I can't wait to murder you next year.
