Still holds up. I played Bioshock when it first released and loved it, and may enjoy it even more now. I won't bother with too many details as it's widely considered a classic at this point, but if you haven't played this yet for some reason definitely give it a shot if you're even remotely interested in atmospheric shooters with cerebral plotlines. I'm not one of those hyperbolic fanboys who call it a "masterpiece" or anything; it has a fair number of problems (some bugs, sloppy combat, pacing problems) but the positives certainly outweigh the negatives by a large margin.
One bit of advice I will give to avoid what bogged the game down a bit the first few times I played it: don't get caught up in OCD exploration unless you're really looking to pad out your playtime. It's tempting to hack every turret and med station you come across, I know, but while the mini-games can be interesting the first couple attempts they can also grind the game to a halt. Just enjoy Rapture for the unique, detailed setting it is and you'll have a good time.
